ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF THE METHODOLOGY OF REMOTE NESTING OF MUSSEL PRE-SEEDS IN THE COAST OF SANTA CATARINA

The Santa Catarina´s coastline has large potential to develop aquaculture, as it has an extensive coastal area, quality of water and high productivity, highlighting the mussels´s production. The demand and seed quality of the species Perna perna is a problematic that has been boosted different methods of obtaining, for example, the remote settlement of pre-seeds of mussels, a sustainable methodology. Through the Agricultural Research and Rural Extension Company of Santa Catarina (EPAGRI), data 300 farmers who will be interviewed about the counties of Palhoça, Governador Celso Ramos, Penha, Bombinhas and Florianópolis. A structured questionnaire will be applied and these results intended to show the percentage of farmers that has been using this technique the remote settlement of pre-seeds of mussels. The technique can solve the social problem of nature dependence to obtain larvae, in addition to strengthening discussions about obtaining seeds and contributing by the way to the commercial growth of Mitiliculture.
