NILE TILAPIA (OREOCHROMIS NILOTICUS) SUPPLEMENTED WITH SACCHAROMYCES CEREVISIAE IN THE SEXUAL INVERSION PERIOD.
Tilapia, Nutrition, food additives, Yeasts.
The aim of the present study aims to evaluate the resistance to post-larval stresses of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) after the inclusion of probiotic (Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast) in the diet during the period of sexual inversion. Approximately 1,200 newborn larvae (viable for the sexual inversion process) will be collected and selected and randomly distributed in six experimental units (200 / box). The experimental units consist of masonry boxes with a useful volume of 64 liters, with strong aeration and constant running water renewal. The experimental design will be completely randomized and divided into two treatments: 200g of AddLife Acqua Biosyn (yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae) per ton of feed, and a control group (without probiotics) with three replicates each. Analyzes of water quality parameters (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrogen compounds), zootechnical performance, stress resistance (transport resistance test, exposure to air, thermal shock, osmotic shock) and sexual inversion rate will be performed.
