Factors influencing the Brazilian Veterinary prescribing behavior.

Scientific marketing influences the Veterinarian to prescribe medicines for animal health during his work routine. To know the factors of influence of the Veterinarian decision make when they are recommending a product in detriment of another, as his occupation area and position, and product use group. Through the Google Forms platform, 487 veterinarians working throughout Brazil were interviewed through a structured online questionnaire. There was questions about sociodemographic data, professional experience, education level, and the participants were able to assess the importance degree of each factor by Likert scale, considering each product group (biological, antimicrobial, antiparasitic, hygiene and beauty, anti- inflammatory and analgesics, feed, food additives, and sanitizers, disinfectants or antiseptics). They were also asked about formats and technical updating frequency, as well as their perception about Telemedicine in Veterinary Medicine. It is expected to understand the importance of the each factors that influence each recommended product group, and to relate the veterinary occupation, sociodemographic data, in addition to grouping the factors into categories: related to the product, the animal or herd, the customer, as well as the veterinarian, with the aim of to assist other researchers to spread more productive knowledge, in relevant formats for the veterinarians, with the purpose of increasing their technical knowledge.
