Meaningful Learning in Geography Teaching: Possibilities and limitations of mobile phones in the context of Basic School
Meaningful Learning, Information and Communication Technology, Learning Processes, WebQuest
The school presents itself as the main space for student learning to occur, and to think the school in the current global context disconnected from the information network means to maintain an anachronistic posture. This fact exposes the need for the inclusion, in schools, of resources and methodologies involved in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The present research project proposes to investigate the learning processes in the Teaching of Geography aligned to the inclusion of ICT, in the context of a public school. For such what is intended here is to evaluate the use of WebQuest activities as possibilities of significant learning in the teaching of Geography, utilizing as resource the mobile phones of the students themselves.
