SUMMARY:

The pandemic caused by the new coronavirus (SARS - CoV-2) caused several restrictions and social isolation, in the face of the gravity situation, schools had to be closed. In many federal institutes (IFs) and federal universities classes were suspended. At the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC), classes continued in the form of non-face-to-face pedagogical activities (ANPs) on most campus for about 20 months. As teaching is a social process (LIB  NEO, 1990), we are interested in understanding and investigating teaching processes from the perspective of one of the main actors in this dynamic, the teacher. Knowing their experiences and perceptions in order to investigate changes or transformations that may occur in education and in the teaching and learning processes in the future. Understand which teaching practices and methodologies were successful and which were not; how was the relationship and communication between professors and their students, between professors and IFSC, between students and IFSC; understand how the return to face-to-face experience took place and how social, economic and emotional issues influenced student learning in these periods, as well as the teacher's performance. The research is of an applied nature, and seeks to approach the problem with quantitative and qualitative methodological procedures. In relation to the accomplishment of the objectives, it is descriptive and interpretative, and as technical procedures it uses bibliographical and documental research. The data collection instruments to be used will be the questionnaire (elaborated via Google Forms and composed of open and closed questions) and the semi-structured interview. Teachers from three technical courses integrated into IFSC high school, Criciúma campus, will be invited to participate in the online questionnaire. The courses are: Technician in Chemistry, Mechatronics and Buildings. The study has the general objective: to evaluate the perception of integrated high school teachers at the IFSC campus Criciúma about the impacts of the pandemic on teaching processes. The specific objectives are: i) Recognize educational processes based on Historical-Critical Pedagogy; ii) Understand how the teaching processes were carried out during the remote teaching period and in the return to face-to-face teaching in the integrated secondary education of the IFSC campus Criciúma; iii) Map the institution's guidelines and actions during the remote teaching period and when returning to face-to-face activities related to educational processes; iv) Analyze how teacher-student, student-institution, institution-teacher relationships took place during the period of remote activities. Being the research professor of the staff of the campus participating in the research, it aims to contribute to the improvement of teaching processes as well as possible educational gaps that can be discussed with the group to provide students with the richest forms of knowledge.
