This research carries out studies in the line of research Training Processes and Educational Policies of the Master's in Education at the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFC) - Camboriú. According to the research carried out, the formative processes of the literacy teacher start in their first school experiences as a student, by demarcating experiences that may influence their future conceptions, in initial training, in the relationships established in the pedagogical practice, and in continuing education as being considered, the formative processes. Researching on the training processes of literacy teachers makes it possible to understand this path experienced. Based on this finding, this project aims to study the understanding of the training processes of literacy teachers in the Municipal Education Network of Gaspar - SC, thus identifying possible directions for continuing education. The theoretical references on literacy/literacy are based on researchers such as of Soares (2013), Mortatti (2010), Ferreiro (2003), and on teacher training, based on studies by Nóvoa (1998), Freire (1989), Gatti (1997). The research's methodological trajectory runs through theoretical reflections based on a qualitative approach, with a bibliographic and document nature, based on: André (1983), Gamboa (2003), Creswell (2010). The data production will take place through instruments and mechanisms such as a questionnaire, aiming to reveal the professional profile of literacy teachers, outlining the experiences and experiences in training processes, identifying concepts, and possible directions for continuing education.
