SUMMARY:

This document presents the notes for qualifying a master’s degree in Education of an investigation in the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação do Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia Catarinense. It is a study of the line of research Educational Processes and Inclusion, whose theme is defined as the educational processes in digital literacy games (DLG). The object of study are literacy applications available on the playstore platform, found within the game’s category and the educational subcategory. The general objective is to investigate the educational processes present in the object of study through content analysis. The following question identifies the guiding problem in this investigation: Are digital games aimed at educational literacy processes thought out on a theoretical basis? Research topic and object of study are problematized from the perspective of the state of the question. The text indicates the historical positioning of the research, rescuing the emergence of writing and reading. In this process, it highlights technological aspects that impacted the unfolding of these practices until today. Literacy, literacy and literacy, concepts that permeate the study, are defined, referenced, and delimited. Likewise, the game concept adopted in this approach is presented, circumscribing it in the educational and digital categories. Methodologically, we have a theoretical, basic, non-applied research, with exploratory objectives, with qualitative aspects and that makes use of bibliographic and documentary procedures. The analysis instrument is characterized by the content analysis approach that is in the game selection stage.
